Caveat Lawyers, Sydney NSW

A caveat is a statutory injunction that prevents the registration of particular dealings and plans on a title to land. Caveats are provided for under the Real Property Act 1900 (NSW).

A caveat acts as a ‘red flag’ signalling to a potential buyer that someone is claiming an interest in the land. A caveat provides the means to protect your interest in a property by preventing any further dealings occurring on a property’s title. A property cannot be sold while there is a caveat on the title.

If you are affected by a caveat, please call us to find out how we can help you in its removal.
